Eco-Tianguis Market
Organic Zihuatanejo
You can’t get more local than hitting the farmer’s market. It is definitely the Saturday social scene here. From 09:00 to 13:00hrs, behind the Costa Grande Archaeological Museum in downtown Zihuatanejo, you can find local farmers and artisans selling organic produce, vegan dishes and handcrafted goods at a fair price.
Created by the local Vegan Cooperative, the mission of Eco Tianguis is to contribute, educate and encourage the love of "homemade", promote local production of products and food, create awareness about the overexploitation of our environment, and educate how we can create a more sustainable lifestyle through workshops like, how to start your own organic garden.
It has become a meeting point for reflection and social participation for all Zankas (citizens of Zihuatanejo) to discuss how to live more mindfully—one that is more natural, ecological and mindful.
