An important piece of information to highlight about this beach is its certification as a clean beach by the International Blue Flag Organization. Due to the great quality of its waters, it is the only beach in Guerrero that has this honor. For the locals, it is the most famous beach in the entire region; with its smooth golden sand and beautiful scenery, especially at sunset. El Palmar has this name due to the large plantation of coconut palms that once existed there.
