Zihuatanejo
La Ropa Beach
This wonderful beach has been awarded as one of the most romantics in Mexico by the biggest travel platform in the world, TripAdvisor and recently it ranked in the top 10 Best Beaches in Mexico by the same platform. It's perfect for swimming in its calm waters, paddle boarding, hiking from end to end, enjoying the restaurants on the sand, and of course, admiring its glorious pink skied sunsets. It is worth mentioning this beach has a Blue Flag certification thanks to high standards in water, services, environmental education, among others. Like the other beaches of Zihuatanejo, the origin of its name comes from Colonial times when a returning Spanish galleon was shipwrecked in front of the bay. Cargos of fine fabrics like muslin, woven products from Bombay, ribbons, shawls and stockings from China washed ashore.

Other Beaches
La Saladita
This beach is known for surfing, especially for longboarders. With its very long-walled left handers, you can slide for more than 500mts on a good day.
El Palmar
Revel in the golden sand and jewel toned sea in one of the most emblematic beaches of Ixtapa. This stretch of beach runs parallel with beachfront pools and hotels, making it an easy access.
Quieta Beach
This beach is not very long (300mts) and as its name says, is a very quiet beach. It sits just in front of Ixtapa Island and because of this natural barrier.
