Gastronomy

A different
Taste

Treat your tastebuds to the gastronomic delights of Ixtapa Zihuatanejo. Featuring exotic flavors dating back to pre-Hispanic times stemming from maritime routes of barter and years of tradition in the kitchen. Sweet meets spicy, with a dash of acidity from ingredients sourced from the area. Bold flavors come together from aromatic herbs that come from the mountain range, tropical fruits from the jungle, and fresh protein like tuna, dorado and swordfish that comes from the sea.

Head over to the viewpoint for a leisurely hike to encounter new horizons. Drift among coral gardens and fluorescent marine. Longboard at one of the most recognized beaches in the world, or challenge your fishing skills with some deep sea fishing. And you can’t miss the natural spectacle of scouting for humpback whales, turtles, dolphins and stingrays during a trip along the coastline.

Visit the fishermen's market at dawn and live the century-old tradition of this beautiful port and then walk through the folkloric streets of downtown Zihuatanejo.
